Dodik Convicted to 12 Months in Prison and Six-Year Ban from Holding Presidential Office
The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has issued a final ruling sentencing Milorad Dodik to one year in prison and a six-year ban from performing the duties of President of the Republic of Srpska, due to his failure to implement decisions of the High Representative.
The Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina rejected both the appeal filed by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the appeal by Dodik’s defense, thereby upholding the first-instance verdict delivered on February 26.
In an exclusive interview with Newsmax Balkans, former governor of the U.S. state of Illinois Rod Blagojevich and President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik discussed, among other topics, the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
