Elek thanked the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija who, as he said at a press conference held at the Serbian List headquarters in northern Kosovska Mitrovica, demonstrated unity and solidarity and stood by Serbia and the Serbian List.

According to him, the Serbian List won 90.06 percent of the votes in Serbian communities.

"If we compare the results with February, the Serbian List won 3,000 more votes than at that time," Elek said.

He noted that in Serbian-majority areas, as well as Serbian communities within Albanian-majority municipalities, the Serbian List won 41,850 votes, while the Party for Freedom, Justice and Survival led by Nenad Rasic won 3,840 votes.

"Based on these results, the Serbian List holds all 10 parliamentary mandates," Elek said, adding that, guided by the experience from February, when Albin Kurti allegedly “channeled” votes to Nenad Rasic, they cannot claim that the situation will remain the same after the final results are announced by the Central Election Commission in Pristina.

"That is why I said these are preliminary results," Elek emphasized.

It should be recalled that the second parliamentary elections this year are being held in Kosovo and Metohija. A total of 24 political entities participated in the elections - 18 parties, three coalitions, two civic initiatives, and one independent candidate, with a total of 1,181 parliamentary candidates.

The leader of the Self-Determination Movement, Albin Kurti, declared victory in the elections, describing it as "the greatest victory in history."

After the Central Election Commission announced that Self-Determination had won slightly less than 50 percent of the vote, Kurti called on opposition parties at a press conference to cooperate in the Assembly, particularly when voting on international agreements.

He also said that Self-Determination would need to hold talks with the opposition regarding the election of the president, according to media reports in Pristina.
