"This morning, we conducted an operation at a facility located in the Bosnia quarter. We found employees working within the system of the Republic of Serbia at the Tax Administration. The police, along with the prosecutor, took a statement from one of the employees," said Eljsani.
The operation involved inspectors for economic crime and members of EULEX.
The Kosovo police subsequently conducted a search of the premises housing the offices of Dunav Insurance.
Employees were instructed to vacate the premises, and an on-site investigation was carried out in the office, during which materials and documents from this branch were confiscated.
The Serbian List stated that through the unlawful and violent closure of the Tax Administration in North Mitrovica and the expulsion of 80 Serbian workers to the streets, Aljbin Kurti has continued his election campaign, which he conducts solely at the expense of the Serbian people, as he has nothing to offer his voters.
They also stated that this is an example of "harassment and abuse of people who have spent their entire working lives in this building and have served all communities honorably, without exception."
"We will meet with the affected employees of the Tax Administration today, discuss all forms of assistance and support with them, and convey the message that none of them will be left without their earnings and income, and that their livelihood will remain secured," stated the Serbian List.
