The President of the Government of Serbia, Milos Vucevic, opened the "ORACLE SaaS Vision 2025" conference in Vrdnik and stated that Oracle will help Serbia attract foreign investments.
"Serbia is the only country in this part of Europe that has such a data center (Oracle's in Kragujevac), and this is the result of great effort and work, and first and foremost, Ana Brnabic understood the importance of such an office. We have moderate optimism that we will continue to attract foreign investments with this," Vucevic said.
He emphasized that cooperation with Oracle is one of Serbia's strategic interests and reminded that the collaboration with the company has been ongoing since 2018.
"I am free to say that Oracle is one of the most prestigious companies in America, which has followed its trends and geopolitical decisions, and if Serbia wants to better position itself in terms of dilemmas and regional context, as well as towards Washington, it is a fact that Oracle provides additional strength for better cooperation with Washington," Vucevic stated.
The Director of the Office for IT and EU Administration, Mihajlo Jovanovic, highlighted that the Prime Minister has provided great support to all Oracle projects as key to the development of the digital world in Serbia.
"I want to immediately say that Oracle is a witness to the determined work by which Serbia has built its role as a leader in the Western Balkans in terms of digitalization. Oracle is responsible for creating modern Serbia," Jovanovic said.
He emphasized that Serbia is the first country in Eastern Europe to implement OracleCloud technology.
