President of Serbia Holds Talks with Giorgia Meloni and Viktor Orban

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic held a phone conversation with the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, discussing issues concerning the Western Balkans, mutual cooperation, and the upcoming EXPO 2027 exhibition to be held in Belgrade, in which Italy has confirmed its participation.

"In a cordial and constructive conversation with Giorgia Meloni, we exchanged views on the most important issues for the Western Balkans region, as well as on specific steps that will strengthen our bilateral cooperation and the upcoming EXPO exhibition in which Italy’s participation sends a strong message of friendship and partnership," Vucic stated on his Instagram account.

He thanked Italy for its principled and continuous support of Serbia’s European integration process, emphasizing that Serbia greatly values its strong strategic partnership with Italy, which he described as one of its most important political and economic partners in the EU.

"Prime Minister Meloni once again confirmed that Italy remains committed to the further enlargement of the European Union and to supporting Western Balkan countries along that path," Vucic noted.

President Vucic also announced that he had a phone conversation with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, during which they agreed to meet soon.

"An excellent and friendly conversation with the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban. We agreed to meet shortly and to further accelerate cooperation between Serbia and Hungary in all areas," Vucic wrote on Instagram.
