President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic stated in Beijing that he hopes some of the Chinese companies he invited during his visit to China to invest in Serbia will do so, assessing that such investments would significantly improve Serbia’s domestic capacities and economy.
After visiting Xiaomi, Vucic said that he had also told the company to consider Serbia as a potential destination if it expands its business operations in Europe.
"I have also been to Volkswagen, but I have never seen anything like this", the Serbian president said.
According to him, around 2,000 employees in Xiaomi’s factory, with a high level of automation and robotics, produce about 1,500 cars in two shifts.
"In any European factory, even where productivity is relatively good, 6,000 workers produce around 400 cars", Vučić emphasized, adding that Xiaomi is gradually entering market competition with Tesla.

The Serbian president assessed that the arrival of Chinese companies would improve not only the business environment, but also Serbia’s overall development potential.
"I hope that, because of what President Xi spoke about and because of everything Serbia can offer, we will manage to attract at least some of the Chinese companies we would like to see in Serbia", the Serbian president pointed out.
"Serbia and China will implement all agreed agreements"
During a tour of the Museum of the Communist Party of China in Beijing, the Serbian president stated that China had achieved enormous progress and become one of the world’s leading powers thanks to discipline, hard work, and a clear strategy.
Vucic expressed confidence that Serbia and China would implement all agreed agreements and arrangements in the interest of both countries.
"I can see, even here in the Museum of the Communist Party, that a bright future lies ahead of us if we are able to keep pace with the Chinese people, who are very hardworking, diligent, and dedicated. I am very happy to be here and to be learning a great deal", the Serbian president said during the museum tour.
Interior Minister Ivica Dacic stated that during the incidents following the May 23 gathering in Belgrade, 17 police officers were injured and 47 individuals were brought to Interior Ministry premises, including one person holding a diplomatic ID card.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated that the visit to China is of great importance for Serbia and expressed hope that more than 30 agreements and arrangements will be signed.
He added that Serbia would do everything possible to remain close to the Chinese leadership and President Xi Jinping, stating that he hopes Serbia will one day reach the political and economic level of development that China has already achieved.
Vucic emphasized that he was especially proud to have received the Friendship Medal from the Chinese president.
Speaking about China’s development, he assessed that the key decision made by the state leadership was to launch industrial production.
"Displayed here are the first automobiles, crawler tractors, and many other products. The progress the country has achieved in 76 or 77 years is incredible", Vucic said.
"Discipline, hard work, and a clear state strategy"
According to him, China’s historical development was driven by discipline, hard work, and a clear state strategy.
"This is already the 15th five-year plan. They stick to their plans. These are disciplined, responsible, and hardworking people who work very hard. Thanks precisely to that work, these people rose from poverty to the point where they are now competing to become the world’s leading power", the Serbian president said.

He also added that the leadership of the Communist Party of China had to remain close to the people in order to make the best decisions.
"The Chinese people respect the work of their ancestors and all those who contributed to the country’s progress today. This is a serious state led by responsible people", Vucic said.
During the museum visit, he also signed the Book of Honored Guests, stating that the tour was a unique opportunity for him to deepen his knowledge of China’s development under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.
