In his speech, he referred to elementary school textbooks, relations between Serbia and Russia, and confirmed that the minimum wage will be increased in October.

Macut pointed out that he expects the Proposal for Amendments to the Law on Textbooks to appear before the MPs in the next few days and pointed out that this law is necessary to reaffirm and re-establish national identity after years and decades of deconstruction.

The proposal to amend the Law, as Macut said, defined that those textbooks, which are of national importance, transmit values, traditions, language and culture.

As he emphasized, because of this, they represent the basic means of building and preserving identity and national cohesion, stability and resistance to external influences and one of the pillars of national security.

Macut stated that in the first 100 days of the government's mandate, a decision was made for an extraordinary minimum wage increase by 9.4 percent from October 1st, which increased the minimum wage to 58,630 dinars.

Macut stressed that Serbia will not impose sanctions on Russia.

"When it comes to foreign policy, I want to emphasize once again at the beginning that while I am the Prime Minister, we will not impose sanctions on the Russian Federation," said Macut at the ceremonial meeting in the House of Culture in Knjazevac.
