Minister Momirovic Resigns Following Novi Sad Accident

Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade Tomislav Momirovic has resigned following the tragedy at the Novi Sad railway station. In his previous term, he served as Minister of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure.

"I hereby inform you that I am resigning from my position as the Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade. I am grateful to the President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, for his trust and recognition. I am always here for him and for Serbia," Momirovic stated in his written resignation submitted to the Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic.

Momirovic held the position of Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade since October 26, 2022, and previously served as the Minister of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure from October 28, 2020, to October 26, 2022.

Today, the Director of Serbian Railway Infrastructure, Jelena Tanasković, also resigned.

It is worth noting that the Minister of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure Goran Vesic has also recently resigned.

In the Novi Sad railway station accident on November 1, 15 people lost their lives following the collapse of the roof canopy.
