Dubravka Djedovic Handanovic noted that the main stumbling block in the negotiations concerns the future operation of the refinery, specifically the issue of market supply coverage from processing operations at the refinery in Pancevo, according to a statement from the Ministry.

"We will not jeopardize our security of supply, nor the impact that the refinery’s operations have on the economy and industry. Negotiations will continue on Thursday. We want to reach a compromise, but not at any cost", the Minister of Mining and Energy said.

She added that talks between MOL Group and Gazprom Neft are continuing in parallel, stressing that it is important for those negotiations to be concluded as well, so that the Office of Foreign Assets Control can issue its opinion and make a final decision.
