The agreement, signed at the EXPO Playground, will enable the implementation of further operational steps for the U.S. appearance at EXPO 2027 as an official participant.

On that occasion, Lazarevic stated that the United States will have a large pavilion in Belgrade next year and added that she believes the country will make a significant contribution to an event that Serbia considers a major development opportunity.

"The United States will have a large pavilion in a wonderful location, and based on what they have demonstrated at previous world exhibitions, I believe they will make an important contribution to what we in Serbia see as a major development opportunity, a development opportunity for Belgrade, for Serbia, and for the entire region", the minister said.

Rogers: New Partnerships Ahead of EXPO

The U.S. Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy at the State Department, who also serves as commissioner of the U.S. section for EXPO 2027, Sarah B. Rogers, said that every EXPO is an opportunity to inspire a global audience, but also to promote American economic and commercial interests.

"We are excited about the partnerships already announced with American companies, and we look forward to announcing many more new partnerships as EXPO approaches", she said.
