In Shanghai, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the International Bureau of Exhibitions, the company EXPO 2027 Belgrade, and the World Expo Museum, establishing a framework for cooperation ahead of and during the specialized exhibition in Belgrade.
The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the International Bureau of Exhibitions (BIE), EXPO 2027 d.o.o. Belgrade, and the World Expo Museum (WEM), thereby establishing a framework for cooperation before, during, and after the Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2027 Belgrade.
The memorandum was signed by BIE Secretary General Dimitri Kerkentzes, EXPO 2027 Belgrade Director Danilo Jerinic, and World Expo Museum Director Liu Wentao, in the presence of representatives of the museum, the Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism, the Serbian Consulate General in Shanghai, members of the media, and other institutions.
By signing the memorandum, the foundations were laid for cooperation intended to contribute to strengthening the international visibility of EXPO 2027 Belgrade, preserving its legacy, and further developing global dialogue about international exhibitions.
EXPO 2027 Belgrade Director Danilo Jerinic assessed that the memorandum represents an important step in building the lasting legacy of the upcoming exhibition.
"The theme of our exhibition, ‘Play for Humanity - Sport and Music for All,’ carries a universal message of togetherness, creativity, and the strength of the human spirit. Through this cooperation with the International Bureau of Exhibitions and the World Expo Museum, we confirm that EXPO is not just an event, but a vision that connects people, inspires generations, and leaves a lasting legacy", Jerinic said, according to a statement from the EXPO company.
Cooperation in three phases
He recalled that more than 130 countries have so far confirmed participation in EXPO 2027 Belgrade, noting that it is one of the specialized exhibitions with the fastest-confirmed international participation.
The memorandum foresees cooperation in three phases.
Before the exhibition begins, the World Expo Museum and EXPO 2027 Belgrade will jointly organize promotional activities in Shanghai and other parts of China, with the goal of presenting the upcoming exhibition to the international public.
Documents concerning the design and construction works for the first-class state road "Vozd Karadjordje" - Sector 2 and Sector 3 - were signed in Belgrade, and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic also attended the signing ceremony.
Truthful and verified reporting, democratic pluralism, and the ability to express freedom of opinion in a dignified manner are the principles with which Newsmax Polska is entering the country’s media landscape, said Executive Producer of Newsmax Polska, Wojciech Surmacz.
During EXPO 2027 Belgrade, from May 15th to August 15th, 2027, the World Expo Museum will participate with its own pavilion, where it will present visitors with an exhibition dedicated to the theme of the event, the history of international exhibitions, and the role of EXPO events in global development.
After the exhibition concludes, cooperation will continue through the organization of a special exhibition in Shanghai dedicated to the legacy of EXPO 2027 Belgrade, while part of the exhibits and documentation collected during the event will become part of the permanent collection of the World Expo Museum.
