Christopher Ruddy, CEO of the American television network Newsmax, told Newsmax Balkans that the partnership with Telekom Srbija is highly significant, as it is one of the largest telecommunications and media companies in the Balkans, which he considers a leading company in Southeast Europe.
Ruddy emphasized that Telekom Srbija has a strong brand and an excellent reputation, adding that he sees Serbia as an important ally of the United States in Southeast Europe and beyond.
"I believe the United States is the leader of the free world, and we want to support countries that are very close to us and aligned with us in supporting freedom. Serbia has for years been at the forefront as a great friend of the United States. That is why we are pleased to stand with Serbia", Ruddy told Newsmax Balkans.
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic stated in Beijing that he hopes some of the Chinese companies he invited during his visit to China to invest in Serbia will do so, assessing that such investments would significantly improve Serbia’s domestic capacities and economy.
The first joint military exercise between Serbia and NATO, organized by the Serbian Land Forces Command and the Allied Joint Force Command Naples, is being held this and next week at the "Jug" base and the "Borovac" training ground near Bujanovac, the Ministry of Defence announced.
Christopher Ruddy also said that Newsmax has great respect for Telekom, as well as for Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, expressing satisfaction with the cooperation and with the alignment of views.
"We Expect a Great Deal"
When asked why Newsmax had chosen Poland as its second market, Christopher Ruddy said that relations between the United States and Poland have continued to strengthen year after year.
"We know this relationship continues to grow stronger every year, and we have an incredible ambassador, Tom Rose, who is now serving here in Warsaw, and we expect a great deal", Ruddy added.

Speaking about Newsmax’s media and business significance, Christopher Ruddy noted that U.S. President Donald Trump has on several occasions made clear how highly he regards Poland, describing it as his favorite European country.
"Poland is the new Germany. It is the new economic powerhouse in Europe, and it is also the strongest military power in NATO. When you look at NATO countries, many of them do not spend much on defense. Poland is truly stepping up, and that is one of the reasons President Trump increased troop levels in Poland, because he genuinely admires and respects what the Polish people stand for", Ruddy explained.
Exchange of Ideas
Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy said that Newsmax Polska will further strengthen ties between Poland and the United States.
He added that experience shows the presence of media outlets such as Newsmax encourages the exchange of ideas, dialogue, and the promotion of shared values that connect the two countries.
"We see this not only as one-way communication, but as a two-way conversation about the values we care deeply about. That is extremely important. The media play a vital role for people who support democracy, as well as for democratic countries that share these values", Ruddy concluded.
