"He was found in a house we had information he occasionally visited. He was caught while sleeping and did not resist arrest," stated Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dacic, according to a Ministry of Internal Affairs press release.
The statement noted that Balijagic was in possession of two rifles and that the arrest was conducted on extremely inaccessible terrain with 40 cm of snow.
Balijagic is suspected of killing siblings Madzgalj on October 25 in the village of Stolac near Bijelo Polje.
Both Montenegrin and Serbian police forces had been searching for Balijagic, who was also the subject of an international warrant.
