Since Uros Blazic was under the age of 21 at the time of the crime, the maximum prison sentence under the law is 20 years.

The prosecution has also proposed a 20-year sentence for Radisa Blazic, the father of the primary accused. According to the prosecution, although Radisa did not pull the trigger, he created the conditions that enabled the crime.

Attorneys representing the victims supported the prosecutor's closing arguments but emphasized that even the maximum sentence would not represent a fair penalty for the crime.

Uros Blazic extended his condolences to the families of the victims and acknowledged that he personally deserves far worse than the words directed at him by the family members of the deceased.

However, he declined to discuss the mass killing, stating that a motive for such a crime, in his view, cannot be found.
