Jelena Begovic, the Minister of Science, Technological Development, and Innovation, stated that all 45 countries participating in the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence Summit in Belgrade agreed on the adoption of the Belgrade Declaration in the field of AI.
However, she emphasized that its implementation requires the EU to complete its procedures.
"What is key is that we received unanimous praise and strong support from all the countries present today in Serbia, as well as from all international organizations, which means that Serbia is truly on the right path when it comes to artificial intelligence. We recognize the need to further involve science and reduce the technological development gap between developed and developing countries," said Begovic.
The Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence Summit gathered more than 130 delegates and 1,000 experts from around the world at the "Serbia" Palace. It was opened on Tuesday in the presence of Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic and Speaker of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabic.
The Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence is a leading international organization focused on the development, application, and regulation of artificial intelligence. The organization was founded in 2020, and Serbia became a member two years later.
