Grenell on Protests in Serbia: We Do Not Support Those Who Seize Government Buildings by Force

Richard Grenell, the U.S. Special Presidential Envoy under Donald Trump, commented on the mass student protests in Serbia, urging all to condemn violence and maintain peaceful demonstrations. He emphasized that the U.S. "does not support those who seize government buildings by force."

"It is always important to raise your voice and make it heard. However, it is equally important to condemn violence and stick to peaceful protests," Grenell wrote on X.

He stressed the need to respect democratic processes.

"We do not support those who undermine the rule of law or seize government buildings by force. If you dislike a law or a leader, work to bring about change, but do not resort to violence," he added.

Grenell’s post was accompanied by a video of protests in Zrenjanin.
