First joint academy held in Banja Luka to mark Sretenje, attended by Vucic and Dodik

The ceremonial academy at the "Borik" sports hall began with the performance of the anthems of the Republic of Srpska, "Moja republika," and the anthem "Boze pravde."

Under the slogan "Unity and Pride," the first joint ceremonial academy in Banja Luka began the observance of Sretenje, Statehood Day of the Republic of Serbia, and Statehood Day of the Republic of Srpska.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the governments of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska, Nenad Stevandic, the Serbian Orthodox Church, and the diplomatic corps.

At the start of the academy, a minute of silence was held in honor of all those who died in the struggle for the freedom of the Serbian people.

Flags of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska were hung on the streets of Banja Luka, and two flagpoles with the flags of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska were placed in front of the Republic Palace.

The decision to jointly mark Sretenje and Serbian Unity Day was made this summer at the Serbian Assembly in Belgrade when the Declaration on the Protection of National and Political Rights and the Joint Future of the Serbian People was adopted.

The Serbian Assembly confirmed that the anthem "Boze pravde" is the pan-Serb anthem, and the double-headed eagle of the Nemanjic dynasty is the national pan-Serb coat of arms.
