Vucic says that Republika Srpska has Serbia’s support, Dodik proud of joint celebration of Sretenje
Republika Srpska can always count on Serbia’s support, and we will continue to work together, building the future without harming anyone or violating international legal principles, said the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, after a meeting with the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.
The President of Serbia added in Banja Luka that he wishes everyone wisdom, peace, and stability.
Vučić stated that he hopes there will be enough wisdom in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that legal persecution of Dodik and his associates will not continue.
The President of Serbia also mentioned that he doesn’t understand why Bosnia and Herzegovina sets political barriers and resistances to projects like the construction of an airport in Trebinje and offered to participate, for example, in the construction of an airport near Sjenica on Pester if they wish.
The first joint ceremonial academy marking Sretenje - Statehood Day of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska was held in Banja Luka, in the presence of the Presidents of Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, Aleksandar Vucic and Milorad Dodik, as well as representatives of both governments.
Dodik expressed gratitude and pride for the opportunity to jointly celebrate Sretenje – the National Day of Serbia and the National Day of Republika Srpska.
He added that Republika Srpska doesn’t ask for anything except the respect of the Dayton Agreement and the Constitution and would agree to live and work in Bosnia and Herzegovina according to the letter of those documents, not this "monstrosity" that has been created, built upon, and is unacceptable.
"We don’t need problems, but stabilization and peace, but we need to have a counterpart in the Federation, which does not exist, as they are dealing with gossip politics," Dodik said.
