With a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony, Serbia’s pavilion at the world exhibition EXPO 2025 in Osaka was officially opened. Named “Society of Play”, it features an innovative construction made of sustainable eco-materials.
Serbia’s Commissioner General for EXPO 2025, Zarko Malinovic, emphasized that the Republic of Serbia opened its pavilion on time and stated that it will serve as a bridge connecting the two EXPOs – in Osaka and Belgrade.
“Serbia is the only Western Balkan country with its own independent pavilion. This sends a clear message that Serbia is just as capable as the world’s most developed countries and that it competes in the top league. We believe that over a million people will visit our pavilion in these six months and enjoy playing with us, because play is a human superpower that will make future society much more resilient to the challenges ahead, which is the essence of the EXPO theme in Osaka,” said Malinovic.
