"There are no tricks when it comes to elections. The people decide what kind of future they want and to whom they will entrust it. The state is not a toy. In choosing your future, you must choose those who will best protect the interests of the country", Vucic told TV Informer.
He added that much has been accomplished, and that one economic cycle has proven exceptional, in terms of tangible results. However, due to circumstances and changes in the global environment, many things must be adjusted, accelerated, and certain issues must be left behind.
President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, met in Belgrade with representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission and stated that the meeting addressed global economic challenges, their impact on Serbia, as well as current macroeconomic trends, outlooks, and risks.
Payments within the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) scheme are now being introduced in Serbia, enabling non-cash euro payments under the jurisdiction of the National Bank of Serbia to be carried out under favorable conditions across member states of this payment area.
"Elections are a moment of truth for everyone involved in this line of work, but above all they are a question of the country’s future and the future of its people, not of us", Vucic emphasized.
He noted that this is not a matter of his own fate, or that of any individual, but a matter concerning millions of people in the country.
"People have often lost not only elections, but even their states and their very substance through poor decisions at the polls. That is why elections are extremely important. Elections are not a casual, offhand decision, like sitting in a bar and drinking beer. Everything depends on elections: dedication, diligence, and good plans and programs. I have no fear, I always have fear of God and concern due to global circumstances for Serbia’s future, but I do not fear my political opponents", President Vucic said.
