As part of the All-People's Assembly event, a citizens’ gathering was held in Nis, where President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic addressed the attendees.
Vucic stated that on March 21 in Nis, some had attempted to abolish the right to free speech and differing opinions, to suppress democracy and impose terror in our country.
He added that problems are not solved on the streets, but within institutions.
"Let us unite so that Serbia can move forward faster. We can achieve all of this, and even if they reject us, we will still extend our hand. Every person has a place in this country," Vucic said.
He noted that a maternity hospital is being built in Nis, and that, as of July 1, public transport would be free. He also announced free textbooks for children from first to eighth grade.
