He mentioned that they have had a presence in the U.S. for three years, serving around 15,000 TV customers, and plan to expand their offerings to include mobile telephony by the end of this year or early next year.
Lucic emphasized that all users in the U.S. of regional origin will be able to communicate more easily with this region.
"First, they will have the option to use our SIM card. If they had a number on another American network, they can transfer it to ours without changing their number. They will have a package that is quite competitive for the American market and can talk to Serbia without roaming charges when in Serbia. Additionally, they can watch over 300 TV channels," he noted.
He added that Telekom Serbia expects to generate over 50 million euros in revenue this year from Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, with the number of users in these three countries exceeding 400,000. "We are now expanding into the most profitable markets with large populations and significantly higher standards, targeting the diaspora. We are currently the only legal operator of all channels outside the former Yugoslavia," Lucic said.
He also mentioned that pirates are practically their only competition and that he used a recent visit to the U.S. to discuss this issue with local institutions.
