The national airline, Air Serbia, has established direct flights between Belgrade and the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi.

The first passengers, who departed for Tbilisi at 7:55 AM from Belgrade’s "Nikola Tesla" Airport, were seen off with champagne and a ceremonial ribbon-cutting attended by the Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure, Aleksandra Sofronijevic, and the CEO of Air Serbia, Jiří Marek.
Also attending the ceremony were the non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Georgia, Tatjana Panajotovic Cvetkovic, as well as local officials and representatives of various institutions.
