French President Emmanuel Macron announced that he had spoken with President Aleksandar Vucic about Serbia’s European future, bilateral relations, and strengthening cooperation, as well as the situation in the region.

“I just spoke with President Vucic. I reiterated my belief that Serbia’s European future is its rightful path and expressed my hope that it will continue on this path of reform and accession, in the spirit of dialogue,” Macron wrote on X.
He explained that the conversation covered all aspects of the France–Serbia relationship and that they agreed to further enhance cooperation.
“We also discussed the regional situation in detail. I emphasized how much France values the stability, unity, and sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the rule of law,” the French President stated.
He reiterated the importance of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, and that France condemns any unilateral actions that might undermine it.
“With the countries of the Western Balkans, our Europe will fulfill its destiny – in unity, solidarity, and responsibility,” Macron concluded.
President Aleksandar Vucic stated that he discussed important topics for Serbia, the region, and Europe with the French Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, René Troccaz, including the situation in Kosovo and Metohija.
