Minister of Health Zlatibor Loncar met in Minsk with the Minister of Health of Belarus, Aleksandr Khodzhayev, to discuss possible cooperation between the two countries in the field of organ transplantation.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Health, the Belarusian side has achieved remarkable results in the area of organ transplantation, while in Serbia – despite a significant increase in the number of donors this year – a waiting list still exists.
At the meeting, it was agreed that Serbian citizens will be able to undergo organ transplants in Belarus at the expense of the Serbian state. Specialized teams from both countries will soon be formed to work closely together to make this cooperation as effective and efficient as possible.
