Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received Hollywood actor and master of martial arts Steven Seagal and his son Kunzang, who are staying in Belgrade on the occasion of the start of shooting the action thriller "Order Of The Dragon".
President Vucic stated that he had an important and substantive conversation with Rubio about strengthening the political dialogue between Serbia and the U.S., enhancing economic cooperation, and addressing common security challenges.
“The focus of the talks was on the areas of economy and trade, particularly regarding the resolution of U.S. tariffs. We also discussed the potential for new investments, cooperation in energy and new technologies, as well as the opportunities provided by the framework of our strategic dialogue,” Vucic wrote on Instagram.
He added that during the meeting he emphasized Serbia’s commitment to preserving peace and stability, as a prerequisite for any further progress and a better life for all citizens. He expressed, as he said, gratitude for the role of the United States in ensuring the security of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as for its contribution to the dialogue process between Belgrade and Pristina.
Vucic also stated that Serbia values and appreciates U.S. support on its path toward full membership in the European Union, which he emphasized as “one of the strategic goals of our country.”
“Open and honest dialogue, based on mutual trust and respect, is the best path toward strengthening the partnership between Serbia and the United States. I am confident that our relations will gain even greater momentum in the future, for our mutual benefit and in the interest of peace, stability, and prosperity,” Vucic stated in his post following the meeting with Rubio on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
