Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received Hollywood actor and master of martial arts Steven Seagal and his son Kunzang, who are staying in Belgrade on the occasion of the start of shooting the action thriller "Order Of The Dragon".

With Sigal, who has one of the main roles in the film, Vucic discussed the strengthening of culture and artistic cooperation and the ways in which Serbia can be further promoted on the international stage.

"In a cordial and friendly conversation with Sigal, we discussed the possibilities of strengthening cultural and artistic cooperation, as well as the ways in which Serbia can be further promoted on the international stage. We also discussed possible joint projects in cinematography, media partnerships and promoting investments in the cultural industry," Vucic said on Instagram.

As he stated, he thanked Sigal for expressing his love for Serbia and his willingness to use his reputation and popularity for the purpose of affirming Serbia in the world.

"His determination to see Serbia as his second homeland is a great honor for us and an obligation to work together to strengthen cultural and humanitarian projects," said Vucic.

He added that Serbia will always be open to artists and friends from all over the world.

"I believe that these kinds of meetings contribute to spreading a good word about our country and strengthening the bridges of friendship, cooperation and mutual respect," said President Vucic.

The filming of the film will take place in several locations in Belgrade, and the director of the thriller is the Croatian Vjekoslav Katusin.

In addition to Seagal, who became famous for his roles in the films "Under Siege" and "Above the Law", the new action thriller stars Dutch martial arts master Ron Smurenburg, as well as actors Michel Kissey, Michael Pare, Jenny Paris and Alona Herta.

Sigal received his Serbian citizenship in 2016, and after a meeting with the then prime minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, he said that he would do everything to promote Serbia, which he considers his new homeland, in the best possible way.
