"Gazprom and Russia remain reliable partners and, of course, we have no intention of turning our backs on Serbia in this situation. Within the framework of our bilateral cooperation, Serbia will maintain its energy security, just as it has until now", Botsan-Kharchenko said, according to Tass.
He emphasized that the most important thing now is to respond to the sanctions calmly and without emotion.
"The US decision was made a long time ago, there were delays, but in the end, it’s a completely political decision. This has nothing to do with the economy, energy, or anything else", the ambassador stressed.
He added that the Russian embassy is in constant contact with the NIS leadership, which, he says, has prepared well for this situation and has the reserves and capacity to adapt to new circumstances.
