Nenad Rašić Elected Deputy Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly, Serb List Announces Appeal
Member of the Kosovo Assembly and acting Minister for Communities and Returns, Nenad Rašić, has been elected Deputy Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly from the ranks of the Serbian community, after none of the candidates from the Serb List received enough votes.
Nenad Rašić received 71 votes in favor, 9 against, and 24 abstentions.
Baša declared that Nenad Rašić was elected Deputy Speaker representing the Serbian community, thereby concluding the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly.
Serbia welcomed the news of a ceasefire agreement that includes the return of all hostages to Israel, especially the Israeli Serbian captive Alon Ohel, President Aleksandar Vučić said.
Russian Ambassador to Belgrade Aleksandr Botsan-Kharchenko stated that the US sanctions against the Oil Industry of Serbia (NIS) are purely political and that Russia will not turn its back on Belgrade.
Member of the Presidency of the Serb List, Igor Simić, stated that the Serb List will appeal the decision of the Assembly in Pristina to elect Nenad Rašić as Deputy Speaker from the Serbian community.
In a media statement, Simić emphasized that this represents a violation of the rights of the Serbian people.
"You must understand that what has been done is contrary to the Constitution and the ruling of the Constitutional Court. Therefore, all those who voted for and supported Rašić have violated the Constitution and have no right to speak about the rule of law", said Simić.

Javno preduzeće "Srbijagas" Novi Sad saopštio je da će kupcima prirodnog gasa u Zemunu i na Bežinjskoj kosi kratkotrajno biti prekinuta isporuka prirodnog gasa u petak, 10. oktobra.
