The Embassy of Serbia has been reopened in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, and on that occasion, a reception was organized, attended by diplomats, representatives of state institutions, and others.
The Serbian Ambassador to Ukraine, Andon Sapundzi, stated that the reopening of the embassy symbolizes "Serbia’s return to Kyiv" and the renewal of active cooperation between the two countries.
"Our workspace is not yet fully completed, but I wanted to share this joy with you already. Serbia is back," emphasized Sapundzi.
He noted that since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, more than 100,000 Ukrainians have come to Serbia, where they have started their own businesses and their children have begun learning the Serbian language, according to the Ukrainian news agency Interfax.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, currently in Budapest, said after a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán that they had serious and important talks.
