The Ministry of the Interior announced that 47,500 citizens gathered in front of the National Assembly of Serbia to welcome the group of Serbs walking from Kosovo and Metohija to Novi Sad.
"The public gathering was duly registered with the competent police department, which allowed the police to plan all security measures in advance. The gathering is proceeding peacefully, without any disturbance of public order and peace, without incidents, and without injuries," the Ministry stated.
At the same time, according to the Ministry, another public gathering took place at the corner of Takovska Street and King Aleksandar Boulevard, where citizens assembled to support Dijana Hrka. It is estimated that around 2,600 people were present.

"The Ministry of the Interior appeals to all citizens to express their views peacefully and in accordance with the law, and reminds that timely registration of public gatherings is a prerequisite for their safe organization," the statement said.
