Russia Confirms Participation in EXPO 2027 Specialized Exhibition in Belgrade

The Director of EXPO 2027 Belgrade, Danilo Jerinic, and the Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade in the Government of Serbia, Jagoda Lazarevic, signed the Agreement on Russia’s participation in EXPO 2027 Belgrade with Russia’s Commissioner for EXPO 2027 Belgrade, Aleksei Gruzdev.
“By signing this agreement, the engagement of the Russian Federation is formalized, and further operational steps are taken for Russia’s participation as an official participant, in accordance with the rules and procedures of the International Bureau of Exhibitions (BIE) and the practices established by the 1928 Paris Convention on International Exhibitions,” the statement reads.
Minister and EXPO 2027 Belgrade Commissioner Jagoda Lazarevic emphasized that the Russian Federation will have a large and very attractive pavilion in a prestigious location within the EXPO 2027 complex, which, in her words, adds further value to this project of strategic importance for the Republic of Serbia.
A court-appointed forensic expert has determined that the audio recording of a conversation between United Group CEO Sten Miller and Telekom Srbija CEO Vladimir Lucic was edited.
Russia’s Commissioner for EXPO 2027 Belgrade, Aleksei Gruzdev, noted that Russia supported Serbia during its candidacy for the host country of EXPO 2027 and expressed satisfaction with Serbia’s victory.
He pointed out that Russia has been participating in the Expo since 1981 and is eagerly anticipating the opportunity to showcase new technologies and innovative solutions.
“This will also be the case in 2027. Our pavilion will proudly represent our country and will help us convey the theme chosen by the Republic of Serbia. We will demonstrate that play is one of the essential forms of life, and our slogan will be Play to Be – I play to live, to exist. We will show how play is important across various spheres and areas of life, including music, medicine, and high technologies. For this reason, we confidently look forward to 2027, when a significant endeavor awaits us all,” Gruzdev emphasized.
