The initiative came from MP Sasa Magazinovic of the Social Democratic Party. This decision means that cannabis, previously classified under Column 1 – strictly prohibited – has now been moved to Column 2, where its use is allowed under strict control. Column 2 already includes substances such as opium, morphine, and a range of other agents used for medical purposes.
