Serbian Government Appoints Ambassador Apostolovic as Chief Negotiator in EU Accession Talks

The Government of Serbia has appointed Ambassador Danijel Apostolovic, Head of the Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the European Union (EU), as Chief Negotiator in Serbia’s accession negotiations with the EU, as published in the Official Gazette.

Apostolovic has previously served as a member of the Team for Support to the Accession Negotiations of the Republic of Serbia with the EU.
The role of Chief Negotiator in Serbia’s EU accession talks had until now been performed by the Minister for European Integration and National Coordinator of the Reform and Growth Instrument, in accordance with the Regulation on the Management of the Reform and Growth Instrument, Nemanja Starovic.
The Higher Court in Negotin has confirmed the indictment filed by the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Zajecar against Dejan Dragijevic and Srdjan Jankovic, on suspicion that on March 26, 2024, in Banjsko Polje near Bor, they killed two-year-old girl Danka Ilic.
