The Foreign Minister mentioned that Serbia has made significant progress in recent months in gaining the support of European countries for the idea that Serbia should move faster toward EU membership, and that this will be evident at the meeting of EU member state ambassadors in Brussels, where the letter from Serbia requesting the opening of Cluster 3 will be discussed.
"I received direct information that the Baltic countries will provide support, and we know there was some more skepticism there," said Djuric.
He stressed that achieving European standards in institutional functioning, quality of life, infrastructure, and technology is Serbia's strategic commitment, and that it has been proclaimed that by the end of 2026, all the reforms necessary for EU membership will be implemented.
