After a fifteen-minute silence, participants responded to the students' initiative by turning on the lights on their mobile phones.

Following this, citizens expressed their dissatisfaction with the government by creating noise with whistles and vuvuzelas.

The students unfurled a large flag and then a banner reading, "We Are All Under the roof canopy."

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated that a major opposition rally had taken place in Belgrade and emphasized the importance of "continuing to work together at this moment, not ignoring our differences, but striving to understand that peace and stability in the country are of utmost importance."
