Serbia to observe Day of Mourning on Wednesday due to tragedy in Barajevo

Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vucevic announced that Wednesday, January 22, will be a Day of Mourning in Serbia due to the tragedy at a nursing home in Barajevo, where eight people died in a fire.

"On Tuesday, we will make a decision at the government meeting to declare a Day of Mourning because of the terrible tragedy, a huge tragedy that occurred in Barajevo, at the nursing home," Vucevic said.

Seven other people were injured, and 13 were rescued in the fire on Monday.

Prosecutors said that three people have been arrested.
