"Dear President Vucic, on behalf of the people of the United States, I extend my sincere congratulations to you and the citizens of Serbia on Statehood Day. I look forward to further strengthening our partnership, building on the ever-stronger ties between our countries, to jointly contribute to the greater security and progress of the people of Serbia and the United States," said Trump in his congratulatory message, which was posted on the Instagram.
He highlighted his satisfaction with the increasing cooperation and new opportunities for mutual investments in key sectors such as technology and energy.
"We greatly appreciate Serbia’s significant contribution to international security, whether it is supporting the people of Ukraine in their defense against Russian aggression or Serbia’s contributions to numerous peace missions around the world," said the U.S. President.
He added that he looks forward to joint efforts to improve stability and economic development in the Western Balkans.
"The United States fully supports Serbia's continued integration into the Euro-Atlantic space, as well as its efforts to promote peaceful and prosperous relations with neighbors and partners in the region," Trump emphasized in his message.
