President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met with the European Union's Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, Peter Sorensen, in Belgrade, and during the meeting, he informed him about the problems faced by the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija.
"It was an open and constructive first meeting with Mr. Sorensen, where I informed him about the problems our people face in Kosovo and Metohija. I expressed my particular concern about the difficult situation of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija due to numerous escalating, unilateral, and violent actions by Pristina," Vucic stated on Instagram.
He added that he also highlighted the constant obstructions Pristina is carrying out in the dialogue process and reiterated that the formation of the Community of Serb Municipalities, after 12 years of Pristina's refusal to fulfill this obligation, is a prerequisite for the substantial normalization of relations.
"I emphasized the expectation that the EU will increase its involvement and maintain an impartial role in this process. I reiterated Serbia’s stance that only constructive dialogue and compromise solutions can contribute to long-term peace and stability in the Western Balkans," Vucic concluded.
