President of Serbia expects to meet Trump in early May in the USA

In response to a question from a Newsmax Balkans journalist about when and where the meeting with Trump would take place, he said that it would probably be in early May in America. He is confident that a solution will be found for the tariffs that are affecting Serbia.

"I just don’t know how I will get there, since it certainly won’t be a meeting lasting one hour or an hour and a half, as even presidents of much larger countries rarely get that. And I will be one of the first 20 countries to have the opportunity for a meeting with President Trump since the start of his new mandate, so I will try to condense all our needs and everything I think is important for the bilateral relations between the U.S. and Serbia and do everything we can to resolve the issue of these tariffs that are troubling us. I’m almost sure we will find a solution," said Vucic.

He previously mentioned that the introduction of tariffs is a major problem for Serbia.

"The introduction of tariffs is a big problem for us, particularly for the auto parts and rubber industries. I will meet with Trump and I believe we will find a solution. We are ready to accept dialogue. The EU sanctions will also affect us, and we will see a drop in employment. We hope that both Brussels and Washington will find a solution," Vucic said.

He added that this primarily depends on Washington, as Serbia is too small.
