The Ministry stated that it strongly condemns the latest activities of the illegal and unrecognized judicial institutions in Kosovo and Metohija, which aim to continue the campaign of intimidation against Serbs and to further prevent their return to the autonomous province.

According to the Ministry, based on information about the issuance of warrants for 20 Serbs for alleged war crimes committed in Djakovica – despite the fact that most of these individuals have never even been in Djakovica – it is clear that this is an organized persecution of Serbs and an overt threat to their safety.

"The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Serbia appeals to the international community and its institutions in Kosovo and Metohija to condemn and prevent the continued irresponsible actions of the illegal authorities in Pristina, which violate the basic human rights of the Serbian population, restrict their freedom of movement, and engage in a shameful campaign of persecution and intimidation of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija," the statement said.
