According to him, from that moment on, contract signing with the participating countries of EXPO 2027 can begin.

He said that Serbia has already started working with countries that have confirmed participation, actively engaging in so-called pre-contractual activities regarding the allocation of their pavilions and their thematic contributions.

The first International Planning Meeting (IPM) for the Specialized EXPO 2027 exhibition in Belgrade began at the Sava Center, gathering over 400 delegates from around 150 countries worldwide.

Borovcanin noted that three more meetings are planned and that another preparatory meeting will likely be held in the next six to eight months, during which a large number of countries are expected to sign contracts.

"Considering the number of countries that have already confirmed participation, we are fairly confident that we will exceed the number of 120. Whether that number will reach 150—I wouldn’t state that for sure now. Of course, that is our goal. We can accommodate more than 150 countries, and we will aim for the highest possible number," he said.

He added that the plan and goal is for this to be the best specialized exhibition in history.
