CEO of Telekom Srbija, Vladimir Lucic, stated that the company is the only one in this part of the Balkans with an agreement with the U.S. Export-Import Bank, which, he said, will invest an initial $50 million by the end of this year for the development of the 5G network in Serbia.

"I think it's a big deal that we're bringing them to Serbia. It will provide extremely good financing, especially for all the American products we implement in 5G," Lucic said.
He emphasized that the arrival of the U.S. Export-Import Bank is a great signal for economic cooperation, and that the bank will finance other American projects in Serbia, as well as enable new American investments in the country. Lučić also recalled that Telekom Srbija is the first operator in this part of the Balkans to have a contract with the European Investment Bank, which also supports financing the 5G network in Serbia.
Vladimir Lucic, the CEO of Telekom Srbija, stated at the 32nd Kopaonik Business Forum that the 5G network, which the company is working on, will be crucial for the development of the digital ecosystem not only in Serbia but also in the region.
The CEO of Telekom Srbija, Vladimir Lucic, stated that the 5G network will be launched in all major cities of Serbia by the end of the year and that the Expo represents a great opportunity for the company as it involves millions of new roaming service users.
Speaking about how cooperation with American partners can help Telekom address the challenges it faces in Kosovo and Metohija, Lucic said he is confident the new U.S. administration will assist with the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, noting improved relations between the U.S. and Serbia thanks to President Aleksandar Vucic.
"Even with the previous administration, we established excellent relations, and with the current one, we should make the most of our similar views on many global issues," Lucic said.
He explained to the American side that there is a "black spot" in Europe where the institutions in Pristina are violating the law by discriminating against Telekom Srbija, simply because it is a company majority-owned by the Serbian state.
Speaking about Telekom as a platform that has unified many channels, allowing viewers to access nearly all sports channels in one place, Lucic said he is pleased that Telekom emerged victorious from a major commercial conflict.
