The Government of Serbia has announced that a portion of Serbian citizens who were in Israel has been successfully evacuated.
As stated, the government continues implementing further measures to ensure the safe evacuation of the remaining Serbian citizens still located in the affected areas.
"The Government of Serbia is closely monitoring the situation and taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of Serbian citizens currently in Israel and Iran," the statement said. On June 13, the Israeli military announced that it had launched strikes overnight on several locations in Iran, with targets including sites connected to the nuclear program.
In response, Iran launched more than 100 drones toward Israel, and the exchange of rocket fire is ongoing.
A large portion of infrastructure in both countries has been destroyed, and there have been fatalities, although both Israel and Iran are withholding exact casualty figures.
According to Serbian officials in recent days, no Serbian citizens are among the injured or dead.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that during routine mail sorting in the Serbian Government building, an envelope addressed to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dacic was discovered.
