Drug Network Dismantled in Belgrade: Around Two Tons of Marijuana Seized
Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Criminal Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade, seized around two tons of marijuana.
In July, members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as part of an international operation in cooperation with U.S. and U.K. police and military agencies – DEA, Joint Interagency Task Force South, and the National Crime Agency – seized 4.8 tons of cocaine in the waters of Martinique (France).
Members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit (SAJ), with the support of other police forces, arrested Alija Balijagic, suspected of a double homicide near Bijelo Polje, at 3:05 a.m. this morning in the village of Pribojska Golesa.
The suspects were arrested in the Belgrade area during the handover of 50 kilograms of marijuana. Police officers then located the vehicles where the drugs were stored and seized the remaining quantity of marijuana.
The suspects have been placed in custody for up to 48 hours and, along with a criminal complaint, will be brought before the competent prosecutor’s office.

Policija u Boru uhapsila je I. T. (33) iz tog grada kada je prilikom pretresa stana koji osumnjičeni koristi pronašla oko 17 grama praha za koji se sumnja da je kokain, 11 grama materije za koju se sumnja da je amfetamin i digitalnu vagicu za precizno merenje, saopštio je MUP.
Dvogodišnja devojčica pala je utorak sa terase porodične kuće u Trgovištu, nakon čega je sa povredama glave dovezena u Univerzitetsko-klinički centar u Nišu u pratnji anesteziologa, potvrđeno je za Newsmax Balkans.

In Zubin Potok, a fire broke out in the printing house of Milos Perovic, an official of the Serb List and the party’s candidate in the upcoming local elections. The fire was caused by an attack with an explosive device on the premises, but firefighters quickly contained the blaze.
Protests organized by the Students in Blockade movement and civic assemblies were held in several cities across Serbia. In Valjevo, protesters set fire to the offices of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), as well as the entrances to the City Administration and Prosecutor’s Office buildings.
