The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, at a ceremony held at the Palace of Serbia, presented decorations on the occasion of the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom, and National Flag.
In Serbia and the Republic of Srpska, the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom, and the National Flag is observed in memory of September 15, 1918, when the Serbian army broke through the Salonika Front. This breakthrough led to the collapse of the Central Powers' alliance and the end of World War I.
A session of the Council for Cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and Republika Srpska, in an expanded format, was held at the Palace of Serbia. The meeting was attended by the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, who addressed those present at the start of the session.
President Vucic conveyed that we draw strength from our roots deeply embedded in our homeland and that we have the duty to preserve that same strength for our children and descendants.
