Diplomat Zoran Milivojevic notes that this means more than two-thirds of the world is accessible to Serbian citizens without a visa.
"We have dropped one position - we were in 35th place and are now 36th - but regardless, Serbian citizens can still travel visa-free
to 137 countries", he said.
President Aleksandar Vucic welcomed President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen in front of the Palace of Serbia, as she began her official visit to the country. The two held a one-on-one meeting followed by a joint press conference.
The President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, stated after participating in the 9th Session of the Committee on European Affairs in the Bundestag in Berlin that the main topics of discussion with German MPs were Serbia’s European path and its relationship with Russia.
In recent years, the Serbian passport has become more accepted and increasingly valuable internationally.
Diplomat Zoran Milivojevic spoke to Newsmax Balkans about what this means for Serbian citizens.
"Above all, it means that more than two-thirds of the world is available to Serbs without a visa, and that they can travel comfortably. These are the most important countries, considering that we have a visa-free regime with the European Union. Serbia as a country is accessible not only to tourists but also to investors and businesspeople. There is high credibility when it comes to freedom of movement, as well as other relevant freedoms" he stated.
