Vucic with Beckerath: European integration and EU membership remain Serbia’s strategic goal

President Aleksandar Vucic met with the head of the EU Delegation, Andreas von Beckerath, to discuss Serbia’s European path and the implementation of its reform agenda, emphasizing that European integration and EU membership remain Serbia’s strategic goal.

"A good conversation with Ambassador Andreas von Beckerath about Serbia’s European path and the implementation of the reform agenda", Vucic stated in an Instagram post following his meeting with the head of the EU Delegation in Serbia.
He stressed that European integration and EU membership remain Serbia’s strategic goal because, as he noted, it is not only a geopolitical orientation but also a path toward faster development of the country and a better life for its citizens.
Representatives of the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS) have confirmed that the oil refinery in Pancevo will continue operating until November 25th, using the oil reserves currently available, the Ministry of Mining and Energy announced.
"I emphasized our commitment to continuing the implementation of reforms that are essential for Serbia’s progress, including reforms in the rule of law, strengthening democratic institutions, and improving transparency", Vucic said.
He added that Serbia remains a responsible and reliable partner of the EU, committed to peace, stability, and prosperity on the European continent, as well as to shared European values such as the rule of law, solidarity, and freedom.
