Lucic: Telekom Srbija Enters 2026 in a Strong Position
The CEO of Telekom Srbija, Vladimir Lucic, stated that the company is entering 2026 from a position of strength following the key acquisition of its main competitor and emphasized that the firm will close this business year with revenues of €2.2 billion.
"Operating profit amounts to €1.2 billion," Lucic said at the Euronews Adria Summit held at the Palace of Serbia.
Lucic noted that the telecommunications sector faces major challenges due to declining operator revenues and significant investments in fiber optics and 5G networks.
The President of the National Assembly of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, stated after a meeting with the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, that there are many areas in which the two parliaments are working together and that cooperation can become even more intensive.
During the administration of Joseph Biden, we had excellent cooperation with the ambassador and laid the groundwork for a strong partnership. The new U.S. administration under Donald Trump is business-oriented and represents a major opportunity for Telekom Srbija, said CEO Vladimir Lučić.
He reminded that, in this context, European operators had addressed a letter to the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
"Telekom Srbija has responded well to these challenges - the consolidation of the domestic market ensures high profitability over the next 10 to 15 years," Lucic emphasized, adding that the company is expanding into the markets of Austria, Germany, Switzerland, and the United States.
