Dejan Tomasevic Is the New President of the Olympic Committee of Serbia

Former basketball national team player Dejan Tomasevic has been elected as the new president of the Olympic Committee of Serbia (OCS).

Tomasević replaces Bozidar Maljkovic as president. He was unanimously elected today at the first regular session of the OCS Assembly during the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic cycle.

He played for Borac, Crvena zvezda, Partizan, Buducnost, Tau Cerámica, Pamesa, Panathinaikos, and PAOK.

With the Yugoslav national team, Tomasevic won gold medals at the World Championships in 1998 and 2002, as well as a silver medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. With the national team, he also won three gold medals (1995, 1997, and 2001) and one bronze (1999) at the European Championships.

From 2011 to 2015, Tomasevic served as vice president of the Basketball Federation of Serbia, and from October 2015 to November 2019 he held the position of secretary-general of the Federation.
